Dedun's Recipe: Cream Cheese Frosting

 Like I promised to share in the previous post, this is the recipe for cream cheese icing. It is relatively easy to do and takes less than 5 minutes. I rarely measure the ingredients because I've done it countless number of times but never the less, here are the measurements.

INGREDIENTS

300g Powdered Sugar
100g Butter
150g Cream Cheese
Drop of Vanilla (optional or any flavor you want)


INSTRUCTION

* Sift the powdered sugar into a mixing bowl. Add the butter, cream cheese and flavor.




* Mix everything together for a few minutes. Be careful not to over mix as the cream cheese can curdle.

* Frost with your favorite cake. Cream cheese practically goes with any cake flavor..even the citrus cakes! yeah they do. So enjoy as you wish.

P.S- The consistency of cream cheese is different from regular butter cream frosting. It's softer, can be runny but not extremely runny. Stiff enough to frost cupcakes. Also It tastes better when it's freshly made.

DEDUN'S tip: If the cream cheese is too runny for you, add a block (50g) of butter or more. depends on you but make sure the butter doesn't overpower the cream cheese.

    I'm sorry, when you say cream cheese (as part of the ingredients) what do you mean ? and when i get to a store is there any particular brand you recommend?

      hi. yes its called cream cheese.. i live in a non-english speaking country so I really don't know the popular english brand. but maybe you can search on google. :) lemme know if the one u got worked.

      Hi. sorry for my late response. I live in a non english speaking country so tbh i don't know the name of the brand. but you can check your local grocery store for cream cheese.
