Dedun's Recipe: White Chocolate Cake
Happy Easter to you all. Hope the short break was fun for you. Today's recipe was requested by someone that liked the white chocolate I baked few days ago. Unfortunately I didnt take pictures while baking so there won't be pictorials just instructions. As time goes on, when I do the flavor again, I will update with pictures. Let's bake!
INGREDIENTS
1.5 cups Flour
1 cup Sugar
3 Eggs
1 tsp Baking powder
Pinch of salt
0.5 cup Whole Milk
0.5 cup Oil/ Melted butter
1tsp Vanilla
150g Baking White Chocolate bar or chips
This would make a small 20cm round pan.
INSTRUCTIONS
*Preheat Oven to 180Celcius. Grease pan
*Sift together the flour, salt, baking powder. Set aside.
*Melt chocolate in microwave using the 10secs burst method till everything melts.
*(You can skip this step) Heat the milk and oil/butter together.
*In a mixing bowl, add the eggs and sugar. Whisk together till you get to the ribbon stage. (when u can draw figure 8 on it and it remains visible for some seconds)
*Add the milk, oil, melted chocolate and vanilla
*Finally, sift in the flour mixture and fold or gently whisk till all is incorporated.
*Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 40 minutes or until skewer comes out clean (you can check after 30mins)
*Transfer to a cooling rack.
*Enjoy with your favorite frosting. If you want a double dose of white chocolate, add melted but cooled white chocolate to buttercream or cream cheese.
